Snowbasin Resort is currently experiencing a fantastic ski season, with snow accumulation reaching a total of 131” and we predict lots more expected to come. In addition, for frequent visitors of the mountain, there is some exciting news - a new six-person high-speed lift in the Strawberry area named the DeMoisy Express has been announced for the 2023-24 ski season. This lift will be placed just below the historic DeMoisy Peak, and the bottom terminal will be located near the Strawberry Gondola's bottom. The lift is intended to double uphill capacity in the area while providing more consistent access to the sought-after terrain. To accompany the new lift, additional trails will also be created. The DeMoisy Express will be built and installed by Leitner POMA of America and will be able to move up to 2,400 skiers and snowboarders per hour. The resort expects the top-to-bottom travel time to be approximately 10 minutes, making it their 13th lift. “To say that both the Snowbasin staff and loyal guests will be excited about this lift announcement may be the understatement of the year” — Davy Ratchford, Vice President and General Manager of Snowbasin Resort.
