Charlotte Pass Snow
Being Australia’s highest resort means Charlotte Pass gets the most natural snowfall throughout the winter season.
With and average cumulative snowfall of around 4m and an average season depth of 2m in the peak of winter (August) Charlottes Pass resort really becomes a unique winter paradise.
The incredible grooming team do a fantastic job of moving around all the wonderful snow to ensure everyone visiting the resort has an experience they will never forget.

Where is Charlotte Pass
Charlotte Pass resort is located in the deep into the New South Wales Snowy Mountain Range. The resort is located inside the Kosciuszko National Park and is at the foot of Mt Kosciuszko.
In winter you cannot drive to the resort, you will need to take the over snow transport to access the resort. Visitors who are staying overnight at Charlottes Pass will need to leave their vehicles at the Bullocks Flat Skitube terminal, ride the Perisher Skitube and then transfer to the over snow transport at Perisher Ski Resort.
Tickets must be purchased for the over snow transport and these can be done in advance or at the Guest services office in Perisher.
Once at the resort it is 100% pedestrian and the only vehicles you will see will be snowmobiles or the over snow transport. This is the only place in Australia where you can experience this wonderful idyllic mountain lifestyle.
Sitting nearly halfway between Sydney and Melbourne it’s a 5.5-hour drive from Sydney and 6.5-hour drive from Melbourne. Canberra is the closest major city with an international airport at 2.5 hours’ drive from Perisher.
Driving into the alpine region in Australia does require that you carry snow chains which fit your vehicles and the team who run Perisher resort or the Kosciuszko National Park will advise when it’s time to fit the chains to your vehicle should you be driving up from Jindabyne.
