North Island

Rising up from the centre of the North Island of New Zealand is a monstrous active volcano named Mt Ruapehu. Offering two resorts on both the south and western faces these resorts offer New Zealand’s highest elevation skiing and longest vertical decent.

Sitting within the Tongariro National Park there are very few places in the world where you can ride the slopes of an active volcano in the worlds 6th National park that now holds dual UNESCO World Heritage status for both its cultural significance to the Māori people, as well as its outstanding natural features. Located alongside Mt Ruapehu is two other large volcano’s, the views from these resorts are world class and hard to replicate.
