Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe Extends Operating Hours for Weekend Night Skiing
Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe has expanded its popular "Open Late" program, adding Fridays to its extended operations schedule. The Nevada resort will now keep select lifts running and resort services open late on both Fridays and Saturdays through the end of the season, giving skiers and riders more time on the slopes.
Extended hours will run until 5:30 p.m. on both days until daylight savings ends on March 9, after which the schedule will extend until 6 p.m.
"We are making the most of longer days and mid-winter snow conditions, and giving skiers and riders the opportunity to take 'bonus runs' with an extra two hours on Fridays and Saturdays. This is one of the perks of having Tahoe's highest base elevation. In addition to enjoying exceptional snow conditions, skiers and riders can start their weekend off right by skiing longer at Mt. Rose." said Mike Pierce, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe marketing director.

Extended Hours Lift Access and Amenities
The Northwest Express, Lakeview Express, Wizard and Magic lifts will remain operational during the extended hours on both Fridays and Saturdays. For those looking to relax after their runs, the Snowdeck off the Lakeside trail will also stay open, offering beer, wine, snacks, and spectacular views of Lake Tahoe.
Special Discount Opportunities
Mt. Rose is offering special pricing to complement the extended hours:
- "Ski G.I.F." Friday Daily Special: Discounted lift tickets available after noon, making Fridays an even more attractive option with the later operating hours.
- "Bonus Mondays": Heavily discounted Monday lift tickets for anyone who skis at Mt. Rose the previous Saturday or Sunday (excluding holidays).
These special offers provide multiple ways for skiers and riders to maximise their time on the mountain while enjoying Tahoe's premier snow conditions at a value.
Lift tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.skirose.com, where visitors can also find more information about the resort's extended hours and special offers.
