Timberline Lodge At Mt Hood Losing Window Views - Because Of Snowfall!

Mt Hood, OR plays host to three different ski fields but only one of them heads right on up the sheer sides of the volcano and that’s Timberline Lodge Ski Resort. The hotel is most recognized as the hotel that was used for the exterior hotel shots for the Stanley Kubrick version of The Shining starring Jack Nicholson and Shelly Duvall. The film was based on Stephen King's novel of the same name. however nowadays you can book and stay at the lodge (without the horror). Normally guest are spoilt with incredible sweeping views however the snowfall has decided to change that this season as rooms with views now just see walls of snow.

We seem to believe we would be ok with this view because that means the snow conditions out in the resort are amazing!

Here is Timberline Lodge in December and then to the right is the lodge in March 2021

Timberline Lodge Ski Resorts base is now starting to creep over the 15ft mark which is absolutely insane, however this now makes us understand better as to why this resort is able to stay open all of spring and most of summer.
