Attitash Mountain Resort has introduced the "Mountaineer," a new high-speed quad lift from Leitner-Poma, during a snowstorm that brought 5 inches of fresh snow. This lift, named after the historic railway in the Mount Washington Valley, replaces the old Summit Triple and offers a faster ride from the base to Attitash Peak. Celebrating its launch, the resort will host the Cheers to the Mountaineer Celebration on January 13, featuring an all-day event with music, giveaways, and surprises, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Attitash is in the midst of a busy offseason, making significant progress on their Summit Triple Replacement Project. The New Hampshire ski resort is replacing the much-criticized Summit Triple chairlift with a modern detachable high-speed quad, promising a shorter ride time of six minutes and increased capacity. Recent updates have showcased the removal of the haul rope, comm line, and bottom terminal, with the drive station, top terminal, and most lift towers also taken down. Some lift towers in the steeper sections will be removed via helicopter.

Attitash Mountain Resort in New Hampshire bid farewell to its Summit Triple chairlift, which had frequently experienced mechanical breakdowns in its final years. The lift's replacement, the Mountaineer Express, will be a high-speed quad chairlift that will offer skiers and snowboarders a faster ride to the top of the mountain, reduce wait times in lift lines, and have a significantly higher capacity than its predecessor.

During the upcoming off-season, the Summit Triple at Attitash will be replaced by a high-speed quad, replacing the outdated infrastructure. In case you have an attachment to the old Summit Triple, Vail Resorts will be conducting an online auction for the chairs in April.
