Snowbasin Resort celebrated the grand opening of the DeMoisy Express lift today, December 19, marking a significant expansion in the resort's offerings. This new high-speed six-pack lift has unlocked new terrain and improved access for skiers and snowboarders, coinciding with the opening of over 20 additional trails and more groomed runs. This expansion arrives just in time for the holiday season, enhancing the skiing experience across the mountain. Additionally, the resort unveiled the new Strawberry Patio, a 5,000 sq. ft. cobblestone plaza located at the northwest section of Strawberry Lodge.

Snowbasin Resort is making significant investments to enhance its guest experience, including a new high-speed chairlift, expanded parking, a spacious patio with dining options, and additional restrooms. These improvements aim to elevate accessibility and on-mountain experiences. This marks Snowbasin's most substantial investment since its 1999 Olympic transformation, with a focus on providing a world-class experience for visitors, including doubling the uphill capacity with a new lift and adding more parking spaces.

Snowbasin, a popular ski resort, is gearing up to end its historic 2022-23 season with exciting events. According to an article in the Salt Lake Tribune, Snowbasin Resort's deal with Club Med to build a hotel on the premises has fallen through. The hotel was originally part of the first phase of the village buildout and terrain expansion timeline announced in 2021.

Snowbasin Resort has announced an extension to their ski season, adding an extra week to make it the longest season in their over 80-year history. Originally set to close on April 16, the resort will now remain open until Sunday, April 23, with a total of 156 ski days on the calendar.

Snowbasin has announced that during the 23/24 season they will install a new six-person high-speed lift in the Strawberry area named the DeMoisy Express. This lift will be placed just below the historic DeMoisy Peak, and the bottom terminal will be located near the Strawberry Gondola's bottom. The lift is intended to double uphill capacity in the area while providing more consistent access to the sought-after terrain.
