    Just three miles from downtown Aspen and minutes from Aspen Airport, Buttermilk offers unmatched convenience. Free shuttle service connects you to all four Aspen mountains, while the base area provides quick access to lodging, dining, and the renowned Hideout children's center. The mountain's western orientation treats skiers to spectacular views of Pyramid Peak and the Maroon Bells throughout the day.

    Season Info

    From mid-December through early April, Buttermilk delivers consistent snow conditions thanks to both natural snowfall and comprehensive snowmaking coverage. Morning groomers create perfect corduroy on beginner runs, while afternoon sun softens the snow on the west-facing slopes, creating ideal learning conditions throughout the season.
