    Cooper Ski Area Lift System

    Cooper's efficient lift network includes 5 lifts serving 60 trails across 480 acres. The centerpiece 10th Mountain Double chairlift rises to 11,700 feet, offering stunning views and access to diverse terrain. Our lifts are strategically positioned to minimize wait times and maximize your time on the slopes, ensuring a smooth, relaxed skiing experience.

    Location & Getting There

    Positioned just outside Leadville, America's highest incorporated city, Cooper sits two hours from Denver and 90 minutes from Summit County. The area's rich mining history and stunning mountain vistas create an authentic Colorado backdrop. Easy access via Highway 24 makes Cooper an ideal destination for both day trips and extended mountain getaways.

    Season Info

    Cooper typically operates from early December through early April, blessed with an average of 260 inches of natural snow annually. Our high elevation and northern exposure help maintain excellent snow conditions throughout the season. Winter brings consistent powder days, while spring offers bluebird skies and perfect corn snow conditions for late-season turns.
