Lee Canyon in Las Vegas, Nevada is set to invest $7 million this offseason for terrain and parking expansion, including new trails serviced by the Ponderosa quad chairlift, facilitating a smooth progression from beginner to intermediate terrain. Access to the new area can be gained through the Rabbit Peak Conveyor lift or skiing down from the Sherwood chairlift, with added beginner terrain supported by a Sunkid conveyor lift. A 450-space parking lot will offer convenient access to the Ponderosa lift.

Lee Canyon Sold To Mountain Capital Partners, Joins Brian Head & Arizona Snowbowl

Mountain Capital Partners (MCP) has acquired Lee Canyon, a popular outdoor recreation destination in Southern Nevada. This acquisition brings the number of resorts managed by MCP to 12, including nearby Brian Head Resort in Utah and Snowbowl in Arizona. As part of the acquisition, Lee Canyon will introduce a new free season pass for children aged 12 and under, allowing them unlimited access to the resort and all other Power Pass resorts. The flagship Power Pass product will also be upgraded to include access to Lee Canyon. The resort has received record snowfall this season and plans to continue operations until the end of April.

Lake Tahoe Ski Resort Closing Dates 2023

The winter season brought record-breaking snowfalls to the ski resorts in and around Lake Tahoe. However, as spring arrives, many locals are happy to see no major storms in the forecast as they need a break from constantly digging out their houses, driveways, and surroundings. The ski resorts will be wrapping up operations over the next few weeks of April as the cost associated with running the resort outweighs the number of visitors coming. Only a few resorts will keep the lifts spinning in the start and first half of May, with Palisades Tahoe pushing through to the July 4 long weekend.
