Season Info

Obertauern boasts one of Austria's longest winter seasons, typically operating from late November through early May. The resort's unique position straddling the north-south divide of the Alps captures substantial snowfall from both weather systems, accumulating an average of 250cm annually. Advanced snowmaking covers 97% of marked runs, though it's rarely needed given the natural snowfall. The high base altitude ensures reliable conditions throughout the season, particularly maintaining good snow quality during spring skiing.
