During a typical winter season Hoshino Tomamu ski resort will see around 14m or 560” of incredibly light fluffy Japanese powder snow which the whole region is known for, and thanks to the south facing aspect of the resort, when the winds change and blow in from the south the storms are supercharged from the moisture of the Pacific Ocean. During the peak of the season when the snowfall is consistently dropping the resort can open up all 306 acres of terrain which spans across two specific mountain peaks that rise high above the base areas.
