The exact same antarctic blast that left the Australian ski fields with a white coat continued over to the south island of New Zealand before hitting the southern alps and dumping all the extra moisture it had collected.Up to 10cm of soft snowfall fell on the mountains surrounding Queenstown and made the resorts of Cardrona, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables look like they were ready for winter. With it being summer the snow did not stay around for long however it did cause a sudden disruption to the summer activities found at the resorts like hiking, mountain biking and off-road karting. Here are a few of our favourite pics that were snapped by the locals up in the resorts.
