Mammoth Mountain saw the largest snowfalls of any California resort as a mega storm spent 4 days dumping fresh powder (9ft / 108” / 2.7m) all over the resort and surrounding area. Majority of the resort was closed during the blizzard event and the resort slowly opened up as mountain ops were able to get out and practically dig out the mountain.California was having a very very slow start to the season, could this just mean that the extreme powder dumping storms now come later in the season and last longer into spring? Then on the weekend it was a beautiful bluebird day and the lucky local riders got to experience what might be their deepest turns of the season. As the mountain continues to open the riders will get powder refills all day considering the limited number of visitors allowed at the resort. Here are some of our favourite pics of taken last week from in and around the resort village.
