We have just seen this posted on Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s instagram and it honestly breaks our heart, especially after we have seen Whistler also close down for the rest of the season. Just like Whistler this smack to their operations comes right before the busiest weekend of the spring riding calendar. They would normally be open through to mid April and whilst Revelstoke has a decent season so far with nearly 10m of fresh powder falling across the resort, anytime a resort needs to close early is devastating to not only the riders but also the local community which require tourism to survive. Our top priority at Revelstoke Mountain Resort has always been the health and safety of our guests and employees. Please note, access to the mountain is prohibited when the Resort is not in operation.If you have unused lift tickets for this season, please email rmrbookings@revelstokemtn.com for a full refund or for credit towards next winter. Please be patient as we address all customer inquiries and navigate this challenging time.Although this season has ended abruptly, I encourage you to look back on the high points of this past winter. Take a moment to scroll through your phone and relive the moments you captured while skiing or riding.At the Resort, we began this season on November 27 and operated for a total of 124 days. We faced several challenges but rallied together as a team to keep our doors open. Your commitment to follow our safety protocols allowed us to deliver a world-class ski and snowboard experience, despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The ability to experience the outdoors allowed us to stay healthy, both physically and mentally, and I am personally thankful for the experiences I had on the mountain.I would also like to state how proud I am of our staff and local community. Aerial Tram Collides With Crane at Alpe d'Huez: 23 Injured

An aerial tram carrying around fifty passengers struck the boom of a construction crane on the route to Pic Blanc at Alpe d'Huez on Wednesday morning, injuring 23 people, three seriously. Pitztal Glacier Set to Reopen for the 2026/27 Ski Season on 26 September

Tyrol's highest ski area is gearing up to open a full month ahead of most of the Alps. The Pitztal Glacier is scheduled to start its 2026/27 season on Saturday 26 September, running through to 2 May 2027, with the lower-altitude Rifflsee area following in December. High-altitude terrain up to 3,440 metres gives the glacier a head start on snow, though as always, the actual opening extent will depend on how September's weather plays out. Early online ski pass bookings can save up to 30%.

Unstable Glacier Above Randa Puts Zermatt-Area Village on Alert

A hanging glacier above the Swiss village of Randa, just south of Zermatt, has been shedding large chunks of ice for weeks, with authorities warning more break-offs are likely. A danger zone has been closed off since June, though officials say the village's 479 residents aren't at risk.
