As soon as October comes around in Colorado we normally start to see the planned opening dates from all the resorts across the state but there is always two resorts who never ever set a date. They simply say as soon as they are ready they will open, its like a public commitment. This year Arapahoe Basin snuck out in front and took the lead, once we see this we knew Keystone would be hot on the heels and it would be imminent that they would drop their opening date. Its now time to dust off those skis, get a fresh wax & grab that Epic Pass and get ready as on the 28th of October Keystone will officially welcome back skiers and snowboarders to the resort for the 22/23 season. Opening day will be a celebration with guests who arrive early will be treated to free donuts and hot cocoa, as well as first chair prizes from Helly Hansen. A mountaintop DJ experience will keep the party going throughout the day. Webcam Keystone | Dercum Mountain

Additionally, skiers and riders will have access to a hike-to terrain park on Spring Dipper. Early season terrain will be accessed via the River Run Gondola, with skiing and riding off the Montezuma Express lift. At the end of the day, guests will download the River Run Gondola back to the base of the resort. Keystone will continue to make snow at every opportunity to expand terrain offerings this early season, and aims to open the Mountain House base area in mid-November.
