Killington Opening Tomorrow, First In The Northeast

Michael Fulton (SnowStash)
The cold temps have literally just arrived in Vermont and out of no where Killington is ready to get the lifts spinning and welcome back skiers and snowboarders for the 22/23 season. There was concerns that there was not going to be enough snow on the ground for Killington to run their annual Heroic Killington Cup which is part of the Audi FIS global tour however those concerns are like a distant memory as the event is confirmed for Thanksgiving Weekend. Killington will be open on Thursday from 12pm for an appreciation day for Season and Ikon Passholders, and then from Friday they will sell regular lift tickets to the general public and open up at 9am. The terrain open will be limited to only short intermediate runs, Rime and Reason which can be found off of the North Ridge Quad. It’s no doubt that as the cold temps continue we will see more terrain and lifts open up all over the resort.

At the end of their day riders will need to walk back to the gondola station where they can download back to the base.
