
Snowbasin Announces Earliest Opening on Record

The conditions across the resort were clearly just too good so Snowbasin is joining the opening party this week as well and the resort will get the lifts spinning this upcoming Friday the 18th of November 2022.Possibly one of the only resorts to offer top to bottom riding on their opening day Snowbasin will be rolling out skiing from Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl Express and Littlecat Express. The resort’s popular Wildcat Handle Tow will also be turning for guests to explore nearby park features.This will be a special opening weekend for Snowbasin season pass holders, Ikon pass holders and Mountain Collective pass holders back for exclusive access over the first weekend.

Check out the full press release below.Huntsville, UT – November 11, 2022 – Snowbasin Resort is thrilled to announce it will be opening early for the 2022-23 ski season on Friday, November 18, at 9 a.m. This will mark the earliest opening on record for this world-class mountain destination in its over 80 years of operation.For this unprecedented opening, Snowbasin will be welcoming season pass holders, Ikon pass holders and Mountain Collective pass holders back for exclusive access over the first weekend. The resort will be rolling out top-to-bottom skiing from Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl Express and Littlecat Express. The resort’s popular Wildcat Handle Tow will also be turning for guests to explore nearby park features. If you haven’t purchased your pass yet, now is the time.”To show their continued appreciation to guests and pass holders, Snowbasin has committed to holding its preseason season pass pricing until November 29. Guests that have not yet purchased their season pass, still have the opportunity to save up to $500 to experience this historic start to winter. The Grizzly Center will be open this weekend from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for season pass printing, tuning, rentals and shopping ahead of opening day.In light of the early opening, Snowbasin’s inaugural season kickoff party, The Moose is Loose, is moving to Thursday, November 17, from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This free event will consist of a rail jam, ski movie film festival, mountain market, delicious food and season pass printing.
