Windham Mountain in New York has entered a new chapter, as Kemmons Wilson Hospitality Partners (KWHP) have become the majority owners of the ski resort, alongside the Beall and Kemmons Wilson families. KWHP aims to elevate the skiing experience and expand the resort into a four-season destination by investing in various areas. The proposed plans include improving skiing conditions with reduced lift lines, enhancing food and beverage programs by revamping existing outlets and introducing a mid-mountain, Italian Alps-style concept in fall 2023, constructing more townhomes and lots for land development, developing membership offerings for the Members Club, upgrading the Golf Course, and introducing various amenities such as swimming, racket sports, family activities, and outdoor adventure activities throughout the year.

Before the 2021-2022 season, the children's ski and ride facilities were also renovated. Last year, the resort acquired 450 acres of land on the East side of the mountain, which may be used for building on-site lodging such as condominiums and townhomes in the future. It seems that KWHP is committed to making Windham Mountain a rare New York ski resort with on-site lodging. While there are no current plans for a terrain expansion in that area, it appears that they may consider it in the future.About Windham MountainWindham Mountain is a premier multi-generational, four-season resort in the Northeast, located in the Great Northern Catskills, two and a half hours north of New York City.
