Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) made an announcement yesterday during its 60th Annual Meeting, revealing that skier visits at its 21 member ski resorts had increased by nearly 8 percent compared to the previous year. Based on publicly available information, CSCUSA projected that the state of Colorado would achieve a new record of 14.8 million skier visits. Last year's record stood at 13.8 million visits. The projected total for the 2022-2023 season surpasses the five-year average for skier visits in Colorado by 18 percent. “The 2022-2023 ski season was a remarkable one, characterised by consistent and abundant snowfall throughout the state, from the early days in October until the closing day on June 4. Today, we celebrate an important milestone in the industry with a significant increase in visitation, meaningful growth in our business, and the positive economic impact this success has on our employees, communities, partners, and the state as a whole. ” — Melanie Mills, the President and CEO of Colorado Ski Country USA.
