Loon Mountain Resort is making progress on its third chairlift installation within the span of four years. Recently, the New Hampshire-based resort provided an update on the construction of their latest project, known as the South Peak Expansion 2: Electric Boogaloo. The upcoming area will be served by a Doppelmayr Alpenstar 4-CLF chairlift equipped with a loading conveyor. During this offseason, Loon has already completed the installation of the bottom terminal and lift towers. At the top terminal, the bullwheel has been successfully installed, and the next steps include backfilling and the erection of the lift house. “I can’t overstate how important this project is to us and to our guests. It is the sum of all of its parts, it’s the lift, it’s the terrain, it’s the access to the ski resort.” — Brian Norton, President and General Manager of Loon Mountain Resort.
