    Shannon Buhler has been appointed as the new Vice President and General Manager of Stowe Mountain Resort by Vail Resorts. Her tenure will commence on July 17. Previously, Buhler held the position of Senior Director of Mountain Operations at Northstar California, a resort owned by Vail Resorts, located near Lake Tahoe.In an official statement, Tim Baker, the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Vail Resorts Eastern Region mountain division, praised Buhler as a prime example of the company's extensive pool of internal talent. He expressed anticipation for the positive impact she will undoubtedly have on their teams, guests, and the local community.

    Shannon Buhler who has been appointed the new General Manager of Stowe Mountain Resort. Buhler's journey with Vail Resorts began nearly 20 years ago in product sales and services at Breckenridge Mountain, Colorado. Over the years, she has assumed various leadership positions within the Vail Resorts network, including roles at Vail Mountain and Keystone, Colorado, Snow Creek, Missouri, and Northstar. In addition to her operational responsibilities, Buhler also serves as the co-lead of Vail Resorts' Women & Allies employee resource group.Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Buhler remarked, "Stowe Mountain Resort boasts a dedicated and passionate team, as well as a vibrant and enthusiastic community. Both aspects greatly excite me as I embrace this incredible opportunity. During the initial months, I eagerly look forward to listening, learning, and continuing to position Stowe as the premier Northeast destination. Moreover, we will prioritise being considerate community partners and upholding the rich history of Mount Mansfield."Buhler will be succeeding Bobby Murphy, who recently assumed the role of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Beaver Creek, Colorado, another resort owned by Vail Resorts.
