    Sugar Bowl Resort in California has officially introduced Mike Jankowski as its new Executive Director of Sport. With two decades of experience in Olympic sport organisations, Jankowski is a distinguished performance expert. His journey includes coaching U.S. Olympic Ski and Snowboard teams since 2003. In this fresh capacity, he will take charge of various aspects including Sugar Bowl's ski and snowboard school, advanced sports education, Nordic activities, events, and summer programs. His goal is to ensure top-notch experiences and world-class events. Credit: Sugar Bowl Resort “Mike’s vast experience as a professional level coach and as part of the U.S. Olympic sport organizing effort make him the ideal person to lead Sugar Bowl’s sport programs and organize high-level events. He will be integral in establishing new trailblazing events this season, including professional seminars targeted toward developing athletes on the cusp of greatness, focusing both on progressing the sport and athlete well-being. Mike’s enthusiasm for enhancing the sport, coupled with his incredible energy and innovation will make his voice invaluable within our senior management team.”Jankowski's coaching trajectory commenced in the mid-1990s when he started as a snowboard instructor at Arizona Snowbowl. His potential led him to become the coach and manager of the U.S. Olympic Snowboard Halfpipe Team in 2003. His position progressed to Head Coach by 2006. Remarkably, from 2010 to 2022, Jankowski held the pivotal position of Head Coach and General Manager for the U.S. Olympic Snowboard and Freeski Teams. This role involved strategic planning, programming, and nurturing talent across five Olympic Winter Games. Known for his collaborative and motivational leadership, Jankowski has contributed to an impressive tally of 37 Olympic medals for U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes since 2006.
