Mount Bohemia To Introduce Night Skiing For The First Time
Michael Fulton (SnowStash)
Located in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, Mount Bohemia proudly claims the title of an experts-only mountain, eschewing snowmaking and terrain grooming. Instead, it relies on a hefty annual dose of approximately 300 inches of lake effect snow, encouraging visitors to explore its vast glades. Notably, Mount Bohemia has introduced night skiing in recent years and is set to expand this experience by illuminating the popular 'Claim Jumper' run on the mountain's frontside. For the upcoming season, Bohemia will offer night skiing on Thursday and Saturday nights. An intriguing aspect of this mountain is its unique partnership with a local cannabis dispensary, which seems to be ongoing. Guests can enjoy free night skiing on Thursday nights from 3 pm to closing time by showing proof of purchase of at least $50 worth of products from the Lume Dispensary in Houghton, MI – a tempting offer, especially if you were planning to visit the dispensary anyway.
