Powering Up Skiing: The New 8-Seater Eibergbahn at SkiWelt Scheffau The SkiWelt Scheffau in Austria is about to unveil an impressive new addition to its ski resort – the world's most powerful 8-seater chairlift, the Eibergbahn. This state-of-the-art lift will revolutionise the skiing experience for both skiers and riders, offering unparalleled transport capacity and sustainability. The new Eibergbahn replaces the previous two 4-seater chairlifts, which had become a crucial link in the SkiWelt network. Over the past 32 years, these lifts have carried an incredible 43 million riders, showcasing the immense demand from skiers and riders.

To meet this growing need, the SkiWelt team has invested 15 million euros in the new 8-seater Eibergbahn. With a dynamic transport capacity of 1,700 to 4,570 people per hour and a maximum travel speed of 5 m/s, this lift is a marvel of engineering. Equipped with seat heating and designed without a hood for wind and resource-related reasons, the Eibergbahn prioritizes both comfort and sustainability.THE FACTS ABOUT THE NEW 8-CLD/B EibergbahnLift type: 8-seater chairliftSpeed: 5.00 m/sCapacity: 4570 persons/hSpecial feature: The world's most powerful 8-seater chairlift.
