Epic Pass Expands Austrian Offerings with Silvretta Montafon
Vail Resorts has announced the addition of Silvretta Montafon to its Epic Pass lineup for the 2025/26 ski season. This expansion brings a new Austrian ski resort to pass holders, offering access to over 85 miles of slopes in the Montafon Valley. The move strengthens Vail Resorts' presence in Europe and provides more options for skiers and riders looking to explore Austrian mountains.
Silvretta Montafon, located in Vorarlberg, Austria, is known for its diverse terrain suitable for all skill levels. The resort features two interconnected mountains, providing a mix of challenging runs and beginner-friendly slopes. Notable attractions include the 'Black Scorpions' steep black runs, sunrise skiing opportunities, and a dedicated freestyle terrain park. The resort's proximity to major airports like Zurich and Munich makes it an accessible destination for international visitors.
Epic Pass holders will receive five consecutive days of access to Silvretta Montafon. The Epic Pass, priced at $1,051 for adults and $537 for children, is currently on sale at its lowest price until May 26. This deadline also marks the last chance for pass holders to receive additional benefits such as Buddy Tickets and Ski With a Friend Tickets.
The addition of Silvretta Montafon follows Vail Resorts' recent announcements of other Austrian ski areas joining the Epic Pass, including Saalbach, Zell am See-Kaprun, Mayrhofen, and Hintertux. These new partnerships complement existing access to Ski Arlberg, further expanding the Epic Pass's European offerings.
Silvretta Montafon boasts reliable snow conditions and stunning views of the surrounding Alps. The resort is set to host the FIS Freestyle World Championship in 2027, adding to its appeal for skiers and snowboarders. With its combination of sporty terrain, high-alpine scenery, and traditional Austrian hospitality, Silvretta Montafon aims to attract Epic Pass holders seeking new mountain experiences in the heart of the Alps.
