The latest weather forecasts show impressive accumulation totals across the Andes, promising excellent conditions for skiers and riders throughout the region.
Chilean resorts are completely dominating the forecast, claiming nine of the top 10 positions for expected snowfall. The predictions range from nearly 3 metres at the top end down to over 1.5 metres for the lowest-ranked resort, representing substantial base building across the entire mountain range.

This widespread snow event is being driven by strong storm systems moving through the Andes, with the Chilean side of the mountains positioned to capture the majority of moisture.
