    Zeller Bergbahnen Announces Rosenalmbahn Upgrade

Zeller Bergbahnen has announced plans to modernize the Rosenalmbahn cable car system. The upgrade aims to improve comfort for visitors and ensure the long-term viability of the lift. The Rosenalmbahn, which connects Zell am Ziller to the Kreuzjoch mountain, is a key access point for skiers, hikers, and mountain bikers exploring the Zillertal Alps.

The modernization project is scheduled to begin after the 2025 summer season. The cable car will operate from June 7 to August 31, 2025, before closing for renovations. While this will affect late summer visitors, the work is essential for the future of the lift system.

The Rosenalmbahn features two sections, with a mid-station and top station. Both locations serve as starting points for various activities. The mid-station offers access to the Wiesenalm singletrack, a popular route for mountain bikers descending to the valley.

Zeller Bergbahnen has confirmed that the 2025/26 winter season will not be affected by the upgrade work. The ski resort plans to open as usual in early December, allowing skiers and snowboarders to enjoy the improved facilities.

The Rosenalmbahn is an integral part of the Zell am Ziller ski area. It provides access to a range of slopes suitable for different skill levels, as well as panoramic views of the surrounding Alps. The modernization project demonstrates the resort's commitment to enhancing the visitor experience and maintaining its infrastructure for years to come.
