Finland's Levi ski resort has just closed its best-ever winter - and it's already spending big to make the next one better.
The numbers from Levi's 2025/26 season are hard to argue with. The Finnish resort was open from 3 October 2025 to 10 May 2026, logging 220 ski days and a record 599,000 visitors. Revenue from ski passes hit a new high, the ski school posted its best-ever figures, and international demand continued to grow - foreign guests accounted for 26% of all ski pass purchases, up from previous seasons.
Strong months in November, January, February, and March drove much of that growth, with the ski school in particular seeing significant upticks across those periods.
220 days of skiing, countless turns and unforgettable moments in the fell – huge thanks to everyone who spent this winter with us. 💙
A €19.5 Million Investment - the Largest in Levi's History
Rather than taking a breath after a record year, Levi is immediately moving into its biggest-ever capital program. The resort is committing €19.5 million this year alone - an investment that spans lift infrastructure, beginner terrain, dining, and operational facilities.
The centrepiece project is a new Sunny Express chairlift on the South Slopes, replacing an existing T-bar lift that will be relocated as part of the works. The South Slopes are among the busiest sections of the mountain, particularly with families and those newer to the sport, so the upgrade is directly targeted at reducing bottlenecks where they tend to matter most.
Leevilandia Gets a Revamp
Levi's dedicated children's and beginners' area, Leevilandia, is also in line for improvements. A new T-bar lift and a new forest trail are being added, leaving the area with two T-bar lifts and two magic carpets once construction is complete. For families travelling with young or beginner skiers, this kind of targeted infrastructure investment tends to have an outsized effect on how a day actually feels on snow.

New Facilities and Fleet Additions
Away from the slopes, a new maintenance building - Service Point 2 - is under construction and is expected to be completed around Finnish Independence Day in December. The resort is also acquiring two new snow groomers and two additional machines for trail and track maintenance.
Dining Expansion Underway
At the end of summer, work will begin on expanding and renovating the Draivi restaurant. The enlarged venue is scheduled to reopen at the end of February 2027, so it won't be operational for the start of next season - but it will be in place for the back half of the winter.
Summer Activities and What's On Before the Snow Returns
Levi's summer season opens on 6 June 2026, with the Levi Bike Park marking its 20th anniversary with a jubilee weekend from 3-5 July. The Santa's Cabin Trail is also being further improved, with the completed route set to offer nearly 3 km of revamped descents.
The next winter season at Levi opens on 2 October 2026.
