The ski area is one of the larger French resorts with reliable late-season snow cover in March, and the combination of on-piste days and festival nights has proven a workable format through six previous editions.

How the festival works
The concept has been consistent since the first edition: days are spent on the mountain skiing and snowboarding within the Alpe d'Huez ski area, while evenings shift to performances by international DJs on stages spread across both the village and the mountain itself. Previous editions have included performances at elevated locations within the ski resort, with stages positioned to look out over the snow-covered Alps, as well as surprise sets in locations around the village.
