    Crested Butte Lift System

    Crested Butte's network of 15 lifts serves skiers and riders efficiently across the mountain's varied terrain. The high-speed Red Lady Express whisks you to intermediate paradise in just 8 minutes, while the North Face Lift provides access to some of Colorado's most challenging expert terrain. Our lift system can transport over 20,000 people per hour, ensuring more time on the slopes.

    Location & Getting There

    Located 230 miles southwest of Denver, Crested Butte sits in Colorado's Gunnison Valley, surrounded by the Elk Mountain Range. The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport provides convenient access just 30 minutes away, while the free Mountain Express shuttle connects the historic town with the mountain base area. This remote location helps preserve the authentic character that makes Crested Butte special.

    Season Info

    Winter transforms Crested Butte into a snow-covered playground, typically receiving over 300 inches of annual snowfall between mid-November and early April. The high elevation and northern exposure help maintain excellent snow conditions throughout the season. Summer brings vibrant wildflower meadows and miles of hiking and biking trails, making Crested Butte a year-round destination.
