Zermatt operates year-round skiing on the Theodul Glacier, with the main resort season running from November through April. The glacier skiing area above 3,000m provides consistent powder conditions throughout summer months, making it a favourite training ground for professional racing teams. Winter brings exceptional snow depth to lower elevations, with February and March typically offering the best combination of fresh snowfall and extended daylight hours. The resort's high altitude and north-facing slopes preserve excellent snow quality well into spring, often maintaining superb conditions when other Alpine resorts have closed.
