New 6-Person Chairlift For Holiday Valley Next Season

The system ensures that the slopes remain covered with fresh snow throughout the winter season, regardless of the weather conditions. The most significant project planned for the offseason is the replacement of the Mardi Gras Express, a high-speed quad that has been operating since 1996. The new lift, a detachable high-speed six-pack chairlift from Doppelmayr, will increase the resort's capacity and provide guests with a more comfortable and faster ride to the summit. The construction work for the new chairlift started last year and is scheduled to be completed before the Ellicottville and Holiday Valley Fall Festival. The festival is a popular event that draws visitors from all over the region and offers a wide range of activities, including live music, food, and games.
