Attitash is experiencing a bustling offseason as they undertake various projects. The ski resort in New Hampshire is replacing the widely criticised Summit Triple chairlift with a modern detachable high-speed quad provided by Leitner-Poma. This new chairlift boasts a ride time of just six minutes, significantly improving Attitash's capacity to accommodate visitors comfortably. In their video update on June 1st, Attitash showcased the removal of the haul rope, communication line, and bottom terminal. In a recent update, provided last Saturday, they offered detailed information on the current progress of the Mountaineer, as well as other ongoing projects during this offseason. Thus far, the drive station, top terminal, and the majority of lift towers have been dismantled. However, some lift towers in the steeper sections still remain and will be removed using a helicopter. Today, they are conducting controlled blasting to remove the granite in the base area. Subsequently, attention will be directed towards eliminating the granite surrounding the future top terminal at the summit.
