Keystone Resort Announces 1 November 2023 For Opening Day

Keystone Resort in Colorado is set to kick off the 2023-24 winter season with a fresh blanket of snow and ideal snowmaking conditions after a weekend of cold weather. Starting on Wednesday, November 1, guests will be able to enjoy two miles of skiing and snowboarding on the iconic Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon trails. Additionally, there's a hike-to-terrain park on Spring Dipper for more adventurous riders, and beginners can take advantage of the learning terrain near the top of the River Run Gondola, where they can utilise the Kokomo Carpet.

To celebrate the Opening Day, early-bird visitors will be treated to complimentary donuts and hot coffee. The first guests in line will also have a chance to win exciting prizes. The festivities will continue throughout the day with DJ experiences at the River Run base area and the Summit House, which is located at the top of the gondola.

During the early season, you can access the terrain via the River Run Gondola, and skiing and riding can be enjoyed off the Montezuma Express lift. At the end of the day, guests will take the River Run Gondola back to the resort's base. Keystone Resort plans to make snow whenever possible to expand the available terrain early in the season. Weather and conditions permitting, they aim to open the Mountain House base area in mid-November.

Starting on Wednesday, the resort will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and they will also offer night skiing operations on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays, starting at Thanksgiving, with extended hours until 7 p.m.
