Sundance Mountain Resort, near Provo, has seen major changes in the 2020s. Once a quiet spot for day skiers, new owners have invested over $40 million to improve the resort. Recently, Sundance announced "Act Two," outlining recent projects and future plans.

The most exciting part of this plan is a new high-speed chairlift and expanded terrain in the Electric Horseman area, set for 2026. The lift will start near the Wildwood chairlift and end near Red’s Lift, serving an area currently without a high-speed lift.Another major project is The Inn at Sundance, a 63-room western-themed hotel opening next year. The hotel will feature a lounge, ski locker room, and porch deck. It will also host the Mountain Veterans Program, offering adaptive ski lessons for veterans.Additional plans for 2024 and 2025 include a new Mountain Camp Day Lodge near Jake’s Lift, townhome construction, and ongoing Cottage renovations.
