Four Seasons Brings Billion-Dollar Luxury to Telluride's Slopes Nestled in a box canyon with stunning vistas, Telluride has long been a favourite among celebrities seeking a low-key ski getaway. From Oprah to Tom Cruise, many stars have called this charming Colorado town-home. The appeal? A laid-back atmosphere where famous faces can enjoy a lychee martini at There Bar or breakfast at Lumiere without causing a stir.Come 2027, Telluride's landscape will evolve with the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences. This $1 billion investment will introduce 52 hotel rooms, 40 hotel residences, and 28 private residences to the area. With prices ranging from $4 million to $40 million, including six luxurious penthouses, this development is set to elevate Telluride's already impressive real estate market.

Despite this influx of luxury, Telluride remains committed to its local charm. The town prohibits franchise stores, operates a bio-fuel bus system, and maintains a "free box" downtown for community sharing. This blend of high-end amenities and small-town character makes Telluride truly unique among ski resorts. The Four Seasons complex, designed by Seattle's Olson Kundig architects and Los Angeles' Clements Design, promises to complement Telluride's natural beauty. Situated on four acres in Mountain Village, the ski-in ski-out property will offer easy access to the gondola connecting the mountain to downtown.Residents and guests can look forward to smart oxygen systems for altitude adjustment, an indoor lap pool, outdoor hot tubs, ski valet service, three restaurants, two retail outlets, and a spa and gym. These features aim to enhance the overall ski resort experience while catering to the discerning tastes of luxury travellers.
