Historic Mt Perisher Double Chairlift Auction Raises Over $312,000 for Local Projects The auction of Mt Perisher’s historic double chairlift has raised an impressive $312,988, benefiting 22 local organisations. These funds will support a variety of community initiatives, focusing on youth, environmental projects, and broader community development. The iconic Mt Perisher Double Chairlift will soon be replaced by a modern six-seater lift, set to open for the 2025 snow season.The auction event, held at the Perisher Valley Hotel, brought together representatives from the 22 grant recipients. They celebrated their successful bids and discussed how the funds will help drive positive change in the region. Nathan Butterworth, Vice President and General Manager of Perisher Ski Resort, expressed pride in the resort’s ability to give back to the local community, with a special thanks to NSW National Parks and Wildlife for supporting the auction.
