Carezza Dolomites Celebrates Successful Ski Season

The Carezza Dolomites ski area has wrapped up its 2024/25 winter season after 113 days of operation. The resort, situated at the base of the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains, provided skiers and riders with 40 kilometres of well-maintained slopes and 13 modern lifts. The season began on 7 December 2024 and concluded on 30 March 2025, with favourable weather conditions throughout much of the period.

The Carezza Dolomites consortium reported solid growth in both first-time visitors and overall lift rides. This positive trend is attributed to the resort's ongoing improvements and strategic focus on enhancing the guest experience.

The ski area hosted several notable events during the season, including the VISA FIS Snowboard World Cup on 12 December 2024 and the FIS Telemark World Cup on 15-16 January 2025. Additionally, the resort held numerous local competitions, such as the Raiffeisen Grand Prix State Championships for youth categories.

Carezza Dolomites continued to strengthen its position as a family-oriented ski resort. The area offers a variety of slopes suitable for different skill levels and numerous dining options. To make skiing more accessible for families, children up to eight years old received free ski passes when accompanied by an adult. Local children also benefited from free or discounted season passes, depending on their age and school level.

Florian Eisath, Managing Director of Carezza Dolomites, emphasised the resort's commitment to fostering a love for winter sports among local youth. He also highlighted the ski area's role as a major employer in the Eggental Valley, with a team of 70 staff members working throughout the season.

As the winter season concludes, Carezza Dolomites is preparing for its summer operations. The summer season is set to begin on 17 May, with the opening of the Tiers Cabrio cable car and the Nova Levante gondola lift for hikers. The Carezza Trail will also open for mountain bikers on the same day. Additional lifts, including the König Laurin gondolas and the Paolina and Tschein panoramic chairlifts, will start operating from 29 May.

The Carezza Dolomites ski area offers a diverse range of activities for both winter and summer visitors. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the 40 kilometres of slopes, while summer guests can explore hiking trails and mountain bike routes. The resort's location in the Dolomites provides a stunning backdrop for outdoor activities year-round, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts alike.
