This innovative marketing approach aims to highlight the improved efficiency of the new lift, which will reduce travel time to the top of Mt Perisher from 10 minutes to 5.5 minutes.
The new chairlift is designed to enhance the overall skiing experience at Perisher. With 17 fewer towers, it not only provides faster access but also opens up more terrain for skiers and riders. The upgrade is part of a broader strategy to improve guest circulation across Perisher's extensive network of 44 lifts and four resort areas.Matt Butterworth, a representative from Perisher, emphasised the benefits of the new lift: 'This upgrade means less time waiting on the chair and more time exploring your favourite terrain from Australia's highest lifted point, with quicker access to Mt Perisher's iconic runs.' He added that the goal is to create memorable experiences for visitors in the unique alpine environment of Perisher.
