Falls Creek Expands Ski Terrain for 2025 Season

Falls Creek ski resort in Victoria, Australia, is expanding its operational terrain for the 2025 snow season. The resort plans to open three additional lifts over the coming weekend, following a strong start to the season. This expansion will provide skiers and riders with greater access to various parts of the mountain, including the Village Bowl area.

The resort's lift expansion plan includes the opening of Eagle Express and Drovers Dream chairlifts on Friday, June 13, with Gully Chair set to begin operations on Saturday, June 14. This development comes after Falls Creek's successful season opening on Sunday, June 8, which was made possible by a substantial snowfall of 71 centimetres. The early-season storm positioned Falls Creek as the Australian resort with the most snowfall, giving it a solid foundation for the 2025 season.

Since the initial opening, which saw the Halley's Comet chairlift and Mouse Trap carpet providing access to Wombat's Ramble (Australia's longest green run), the mountain operations team has been working continuously to prepare additional areas. Their efforts have focused on clearing lift loading zones, de-icing chair lifts, and conducting thorough safety inspections to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

The opening of Eagle Express and Drovers Dream lifts will unlock significant intermediate terrain, catering to a broader range of skill levels. The addition of Gully Chair will enhance access to the Village Bowl, a central hub for resort activities.

Falls Creek, owned by Vail Resorts, is part of the Epic Australia Pass network. This pass, along with the 4-Day Pass option, offers access to Falls Creek, Hotham, and Perisher in Australia, as well as 75 international resorts across North America and Japan. With the 2025 season now in full swing at Falls Creek, skiers and riders can look forward to an expanding range of terrain and improved access across the resort.
