Falls Creek Expands Ski Terrain with New Chairlift Openings

Falls Creek ski resort has opened the Ruined Castle and Scott Chairlifts, bringing the total number of operational lifts to nine. This expansion provides skiers and riders with more terrain to explore this weekend. The mountain operations team has worked diligently to prepare these lifts for public use, significantly enhancing the resort's offerings.

Weather conditions at Falls Creek are favourable for skiing and snowboarding. Saturday's forecast predicts mostly sunny skies with light winds and temperatures ranging from 1°C to 7°C. These conditions are ideal for enjoying the newly opened terrain.

Snowmaking efforts continue across the resort, improving snow coverage. With more natural snow predicted in the coming week, the season outlook is positive. The resort encourages visitors to stay informed about lift and terrain status through the Falls Creek App or the Lifts & Terrain webpage.

Falls Creek is now offering a range of ski and snowboard lessons for both adults and children. These include group lessons for beginners and those looking to improve their skills, as well as private lessons for personalised instruction. The resort's expert instructors are available to help skiers and riders of all levels progress and gain confidence on the slopes.

For non-skiers or those seeking a different experience, scenic chairlift rides on Halley's Comet are available daily from 11am to 3pm. This provides an opportunity to view the mountain and visit the newly renovated Cloud 9 Restaurant.

Falls Creek offers various accommodation and equipment rental options through Falls Creek Sports. The resort also provides special June deals and encourages early bookings for the best value. Additionally, Winter Sports Programs, including the Mim's Women's Program and Mike's Men's Program, are open for registration.
