Top 10 Longest Vertical Drop in the United States
Michael Fulton (SnowStash)
Typically we see ski resorts advertising how they are the largest, the longest or the best in the county but we wanted to see which ski resort offered the longest vertical drop in the United States. We have pulled this list together based on the total vertical feet from the base of the ski resort to the summit of the resort based on the resort stats. There are some seriously leg burning numbers in this list and we do wonder how many times a rider can complete this vertical drop over and over in the same riding day. Through our list we have also uncovered that if you are a rider who loves a resort with a lot of vertical your best bet is to get an Ikon Pass, 5 of the 10 resorts can be accessed on the Ikon pass compared to 4 resorts on the Epic Pass.
