Return to Resort InformationLa Plagne typically operates from December through April, with its high-altitude positioning and 70% of terrain above 2,000m ensuring exceptional snow reliability throughout the winter season. Winter temperatures range from -10°C to -2°C at lower elevations, dropping significantly higher up, with the deepest snow typically found in January and February creating optimal powder conditions. The resort maintains excellent skiing conditions well into late season, with terrain above 2,100m offering good snow quality even in March and April when morning conditions remain consistently strong. The varied exposure across different sectors, from north-facing slopes that preserve powder to south-facing areas offering warmer skiing, provides diverse conditions throughout the season, while the resort's elevation advantage ensures reliable coverage from mid-December onwards.
