Breckenridge, CO, is gearing up for an exciting winter season with the transformation of the Peak 8 base area. One of the major highlights of this upgrade is the conversion of the existing 5-Chair lift into a high-speed quad, set to be unveiled as the FIVE SuperChair for the 2023/24 winter season. This development marks a significant improvement in the flow and circulation within the resort's popular base area.Improved Access and Flow: With the introduction of the FIVE SuperChair, all four chairlifts servicing Peak 8 will now be high-speed lifts, providing faster and more efficient access to the resort's Five Peaks. This upgrade aims to enhance the overall skiing and riding experience for visitors by reducing wait times and improving the flow of skiers and riders throughout the area. During the summer, the lift will continue to serve visitors by providing access to the popular alpine slide. This dual-functionality ensures that guests can enjoy outdoor activities and make the most of their visit to Breckenridge, whether it is during the snowy winter months or the sunny summer season.Construction Progress: Construction on the FIVE SuperChair project began in late April and has been progressing steadily throughout the summer. A significant milestone was recently achieved with the delivery of concrete for the footers of the new lift towers. The construction teams are working diligently to ensure that the lift will be ready for riders in time for the 2023/24 winter season.
