Castle Peak Holdings Expands with Snow King Resort Acquisition

Castle Peak Holdings, the investment firm behind the Trailborn hospitality brands, has added Snow King Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to its growing portfolio. This purchase marks Castle Peak's eighth property and its largest acquisition to date. The 203-room full-service resort, situated on 8 acres, offers a range of amenities including a restaurant, spa facilities, and ski-in/ski-out access during the winter season.

Located within walking distance of Jackson's historic town centre, Snow King Resort is set for significant upgrades. Castle Peak plans to renovate and expand the on-site amenities, focusing on improvements to the building's exterior, lobby, meeting spaces, and dining options. This acquisition aligns with Castle Peak's strategy of investing in popular outdoor destinations with high demand and limited competition.

Mike Weiss, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Trailborn and Castle Peak, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating their commitment to working with the local community to create a space that captures Jackson's unique culture. The renovated resort aims to provide an elevated experience for both travellers and locals, with family-friendly amenities, extensive meeting spaces, quality dining, spa facilities, and convenient access to skiing and nearby national parks.

The Snow King Resort acquisition follows Castle Peak's recent openings of Trailborn properties in various locations across the United States. These include Trailborn Grand Canyon, Trailborn Surf & Sound, and Trailborn Highlands. The company's rapid expansion has positioned Trailborn as a leader in outdoor hospitality and adventure travel.

Snow King Resort, soon to be rebranded as Trailborn Jackson Hole, will join the Trailborn portfolio, which focuses on providing accommodations in scenic locations near national parks, mountain ranges, and coastal areas. The brand emphasises contemporary design combined with immersive local experiences. With its prime location in Jackson Hole, the resort offers easy access to world-class skiing and proximity to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, making it an ideal base for exploring the region's natural attractions.
