TL;DR
Colorado’s early-season dominoes keep falling. Arapahoe Basin opened on Wednesday, Keystone follows on Friday, and now Wolf Creek is joining in on Saturday 31 October, just in time for Halloween. A storm on 23 and 24 October left 20 inches of natural snow in the San Juans, and three lifts will turn from 9:00 am, covering about 30% of the mountain. Expect rocks, unmarked obstacles and open water, but also Local Appreciation lift tickets at $73 for adults.
Colorado’s early-season rush now has a third entrant, and this one is turning up in time for Halloween.
Wolf Creek Ski Area opens for 2026/27 on Saturday 31 October, following Arapahoe Basin on Wednesday and Keystone on Friday. That makes three Colorado ski areas running lifts inside four days, which is how early seasons tend to go: once one opens, the others pile in. Wolf Creek gets there on the back of a storm on 23 and 24 October that dropped 20 inches (51 cm) of natural snow.

Treasure Stoke, Bonanza and Nova will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from Saturday 31 October through Tuesday 3 November, opening up roughly 30% of the mountain. The ski area then closes on Wednesday and Thursday, and will reopen Friday to Sunday until significant snowfall arrives.
The Ski & Snowboard School, rental shop and Treasure Sports will all be open. Burgers, chili and soups are on the menu at the Main Day Lodge and Upper Lodge, with a salad bar alongside, and Pathfinder Bar is serving a full drinks menu.
