Woodward Park City sits in Summit County's Snyderville Basin at 2,170 metres elevation along Interstate 80 near Parley's Summit, the highest point on I-80 in Utah. The resort occupies a hillside two miles east of the Parley's Summit pass between Salt Lake Valley and Park City. Jeremy Ranch neighbourhood lies immediately west via Kilby Road, which provides the sole vehicle access from Quarry Village. The Wasatch Mountains rise to the south whilst the property overlooks I-80's eastbound descent into Park City's basin.
Park City's historic Main Street sits 17 miles and 20 minutes southeast. Salt Lake City centre lies 25 miles west with a 35-40 minute drive under normal conditions. The larger Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Resort operate within 10 miles. Utah Olympic Park stands five minutes east. Kimball Junction shopping district at the I-80 and Highway 224 interchange provides nearest services including restaurants, petrol stations, and grocery stores within five minutes.
Interstate 80 provides the only practical road access, with Exit 140 at Parley's Summit leading directly to Kilby Road and the resort entrance. Aerial Tram Collides With Crane at Alpe d'Huez: 23 Injured
An aerial tram carrying around fifty passengers struck the boom of a construction crane on the route to Pic Blanc at Alpe d'Huez on Wednesday morning, injuring 23 people, three seriously. The cabin tipped on impact before the operator reversed it to right the car. Most of the injured were treated on site, with five taken to hospital in Grenoble, including a pregnant woman assessed as a precaution.
