Thanks to its high-altitude position and glacier skiing, Tignes boasts one of the longest seasons in Europe, typically operating from late September through early May. The Grande Motte glacier often opens for summer skiing as well. Winter brings reliable snow conditions across the entire domain, while spring offers perfect conditions for long, sun-drenched days on the mountain, particularly on the north-facing slopes that hold snow exceptionally well.
