The resort spans elevations from 1,450 to 2,800 metres across the Aosta Valley's western extremity, with terrain radiating around Mont Valaisan and the historic Piccolo San Bernardo Pass. Modern snowmaking systems complement natural snowfall that averages 8 metres annually—among the highest in the Alps—ensuring outstanding conditions throughout winter. The area combines extensive intermediate cruising with challenging expert terrain, including World Cup downhill courses and exceptional off-piste opportunities in the Rutor Glacier sector, while maintaining excellent progression terrain for beginners and improvers.

Season Info
The La Thuile winter season typically runs from early December through late April, with optimal conditions from January through March. The area's northwestern aspect ensures excellent snow preservation throughout winter, with consistent cold temperatures maintaining snow quality particularly well on higher slopes. Early season operations concentrate around snowmaking-equipped sectors before expanding across the entire network by Christmas week. February delivers peak snow conditions, with fresh powder opportunities maximised by the resort's protected bowl topography and cold temperatures. March brings increasing sunshine hours while maintaining excellent snow coverage, particularly on north-facing slopes like the Belvedere sector.
